Fireworks Photo Serendipity

We live on a Golf Course and tonight they invited members to bring any leftover Fireworks and add to the Club’s planned display.

We walked out across the very dark course toward the Driving Range where the show was in progress.
I took my camera, but had failed to check the setting or take a flashlight.

As it happened, my Nikon was set on the action feature. I think I’d been photographing the kids when I last used it. They’re always in motion!!!

I’m a Photography Neanderthal with a Cowboy mentality.
I point and shoot.

Not a clue how I got these dramatic images.
I don’t know what I did wrong, or right.
I’m thrilled that I got some cool photos and managed not to fall into a bunker or walk into a tree on the way back home.

Our kids had come for games and a swim. And BONUS, my daughter brought strawberries, cookies, and ice cream.
I’m thankful for the warm and wonderful family that surrounds me with love and brings such deep joy into my life.

I hope you had a chance this weekend to be with those you care for most.
The ones who light up your life with sparkly love 😉

  1. Great shots. Our town’s fireworks will go off next weekend but these pictures are getting me in the mood.

    • Next weekend? So you get to watch the ones from Boston on TV then enjoy a local celebration next week? That’s genius Civic planning!!!

  2. Thank you so much for sharing your fireworks with me. I didn’t get to see the fireworks show in my town this year. I have a painful bone spur on my right foot. So pain pills are my friend for now. The pictures are amazing! 🙂

    • It’s the sofa and TV for you! Sorry about your foot. I had a bunion once and if my feet aren’t happy, I’m not happy. Blessings and prayers 😉

    • Thanks John. I bought a Fish Eye app and can’t wait for a few scattered clouds to show up! What else have you used it for???

  3. Oh my gosh…these are hysterical!! I absolutely love these! I think the first one is my favorite… looks like a “fire” dancer! Love it! I took pics of the moon that night before the fireworks started (in my town) and when I got home the man in the moon looked like he had a pair of Ray Bans on…I’ll have to send it to you! Soo funny! Who says God doesn’t have a sense of humor??? Thank you for blessing my heart ~Zoey
