Are you bold in praying for yourself?
Throughout the Bible I see people praying great things for themselves. Not shallow things like fame and fortune, but important things like wisdom and success in great undertakings. As Christians we may shy away from bold prayers thinking they’re prideful or arrogant, but if our motives are pure, rooted in the glory of God,
Every mom should be praying that God makes her an incredible effective, successful mother. Granting her wisdom, strength and joy in the millions of little jobs that make up the big job of parenting.
Selflessness is Christlike.
That’s what we see in this Proverbs 31 woman.
We see Christ.
Loving people.
Doing God’s work at home.
Today I happened upon a verse, a prayer actually.
A simple request.
Remember me, O my God, for good.
Nehemiah 13:31
Nehemiah was a lot like our Proverbs 31 woman.
He was on a mission for God.
He was building something great.
Something worthwhile.
And he ask God to remember him for good.
The Bible tells us that God doesn’t forget our labors of love.
Love for Him.
Love for people who need our love.
He remembers us for good.
He remembers you’re on a mission for Him.
He remembers you’re building something great.
Something worthwhile.
He remembers you for good.
