Eureka! I Just Discovered More WordPress Gold

I’m a native Californian. A proud in inhabitant of The Golden State, where gold was discovered in 1848.
Looking for gold is in our collective consciousness here in CA.
I think it begins in 4th grade when they take us into the schoolyard and soak us down with all things California.
Mountains and Missions
Valleys and Vines
And of course, GOLD.

We look for it everywhere
~ in movie scripts
~ computer chips
~ whale watching ships
~ botox and snips

I have started looking for it on Social Networks like Facebook, Twitter, and most recently WordPress.

Here’s my newest find:

Happy Friday!

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout.

I like what you keep in your cupboard!! Thank you for this – following! 🙂

  2. publikworks says:

You’re new best friend, Kelly! Thank you, I’m so tickled you like the humor :o)

    • Kelly Grace says:

The humor isn’t all I like though. I also like the design of your blog and the content like Here Reader, Reader, Reader. Watch for your page views to go off the charts as I work my way through the Archives 😉
Laughter does good like a medicine. I should be healthy from now until I die!

      • publikworks says:

I’m going to print out your comment and have it bronzed. You, flatterer, you.

Forget best friend. You’re my hero, Kelly!!! Thank you.

      • Kelly Grace says:

Flattery is a lie intended to extract an advantage from another, this is me effusively but honestly appreciating your labors 😉
You’ve been blogging for 5 years now. Do you have any blog wisdom to share?

      • publikworks says:

Wisdom? Me? Heck, no. Just keep putting one word after another and hope they make sense to someone. That and a good eraser will see you through.

      • Kelly Grace says:

I just heard a saying that I think you’ll appreciate, “Inspiration! Inspiration is for amateurs. We’re writers. We can’t wait for inspiration, we have a deadline.”

      • publikworks says:

That”a terrific, Kelly. I might have to add that to the bon mots. Do you know the source or have an author?

      • Kelly Grace says:

I think I found the original! “Inspiration is for amateurs-the rest of us just show up and get to work.” Chuck Close, a painter. I think I read it first in Brain Pickings and referenced in lifehacker.–the-rest-of-us-just-show-up-and-get-to-work
Picasso said, “Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.”
I read a lot about writing and somebody on Copyblogger might have used an adaptation of this directed at writers.
        Hope that helps.
