I see this truth in my own life!
A harsh word stirs up anger, but a soft word ‘turns down the heat of an argument’. That last bit is my own paraphrase.

As one father used to say to his young son, “Make a good decision here Drew”!
I always make a better decision when I think about the consequences. That’s as true for eating a second cookie, or choosing between morning News or morning Devotions.
