Do we need to enjoy a little stillness in our hearts and lives this morning?
Stillness pushes back the world and opens our spirits to God’s gracious sanctifying work.
In to Thy silent place of prayer
The anxious, wandering mind recall
Dwell ‘mid Thy own creation there,
Restoring, claiming, hallowing all.
Then the calm spirit, won from sin,
Thy perfect sacrifice shall be,
And all the ransomed powers therein
Shall go forth, glorifying Thee.

Do you feel the need of those ‘ransomed powers’?
They gather strength in stillness.
It doesn’t take hours.
God saved your soul in a moment.
Why not see what He can do if you offer Him five or ten?

God doesn’t waste the stresses He allows in our lives.
They pass through His love and carry with them the divine influence in the forces they exert.

1 John 3:2
Be still and know that I am God.
