Why You Should Check Things Out For Yourself

Bibles on a table in a village church in Ghana

How do you know if what you hear or think about God and spiritual things is true, really true?

In a small village church full of women with hungry hearts and earnest eyes I’m reminded that the only truth that transforms is God’s truth.

The only truth that can untangle this messy jumble we call life is His.

Broken relationships are mended by its healing powers.
Anxiety, loneliness, and uncertainty are answered by the peace, love, and wisdom found in the truth God has so freely given us.

Wherever we live we’re influenced by the people and culture around us, but their truth is often far from true.

So how can we know for sure that what we believe is really true?

Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

Acts 17:11

Got a problem area in your life?

Want God’s input, His help?

It’s easy to find.  Long before Google men of God added a handy tool called a concordance to the back of our Bibles.

Need help with anger management, look up anger, or angry and you’ll find God’s take on the subject.

Marriage problems?  Tons of good advice from the Inventor of marriage is freely available.

Being a parent not as easy as you thought it would be?

God, who made us, and gives us children to raise has also given us an instruction manual!  He thought we might want to know this stuff.

CHECK IT OUT 😉

The Bible is a really big book that tells us about God, the relationship He wants to have with us, and the truth we need to live lives of joy and blessing.

Thanks to the Internet, TV, and Talk Radio we are drowning in information, but knowing what is really true is so important.

BE NOBLE like the Bereans and check it out for yourself.

Life is challenging and we don’t have to go it all on our own.

Let’s not make this harder than it has to be.

We don’t have to stumble around in the darkness of unknowing and uncertainty.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Psalm 119:105
