Daniel 12:4 (ESV)

But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end.
Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

Believing and understanding prophesy changes the way we live right now.
It detaches us from the passions and pursuits of this life and anchors our hearts in eternity.

Here are two prophesies relating to end times that are undeniably more true now than they were 50 years ago. In the not too distant past, change happened slowly. People didn’t roam too far and change occurred at a modest rate. Now it’s in a big rush—like all the rest of us. And headed for a collision with history and Bible prophesy.

Many people live at a frantic pace.
Knowledge is exploding.

The world is shrinking, well, not really.
It just seems that way.

My grandmother didn’t drive and rarely left her home. But I’ve travelled over most of Europe, parts of the former Soviet Union, North America, and parts of Africa. We get news instantly and constantly. The world is more connected, more aware than ever in the history of man.

Daniel had received a prophesy concerning the end times. What I like to think of as ‘the last chapter of the history of this world under man’s leadership’.

I missed two days of news and it looks like the middle east is ready to go to war and civilian air travel is in danger of being targeted by people with sophisticated weapons, but without the technical sophistication to determine what they’re targeting.

Who knows how much longer before tensions erupt into violence that leads to full blown war?
Gloomy, right?
It’s almost enough to ruin a nice mid-summer evening.

But not quite.
Today all day I’ve been filled with hope.
We’re getting ready to go back to Africa for 9 weeks of ministry.
I don’t know that anything we, as Christians, do has any influence on God’s planned events.
Not like we ever surprise Him, right?

I just want to be doing the things I’m suppose to be doing, my little bit, when Jesus returns.
Most of us will never be major players on the world’s stage.
We won’t shape events, make policy, or change the course of human history.

But we can be used by God to change the course of a human’s history.

Someone’s life can be blessed because God brought us into it.
That’s the inspiration that gave me such hope today.

My prayer for you is that you find that thing, that God appointed thing, that you’re the perfect person to do.
Find it, then get busy doing it.
That’s how I want Him to find us.
Busy doing His business when He comes back.

We are In the end times Kelly and thank you for sharing the scripture from Daniel about the end times. It’s a very sobering thought though. Are we ready for The Lord?
Where in Africa will you be ministering?

Hi Rolain, we are headed to Ghana, West Africa. You’ll see lots of posts from there over the next two months!!!
I am absolutely ready for the Lord to return, but I’m happy to stay and be about His business as long as He chooses.
Blessed to see you have been ministering to kids.
I just made 36 Wordless books to take to Africa. Lord willing I’ll be teaching children and Children’s ministers and workers on this trip as well as the other Conferences we do.

What is the name of your ministry? I live in Africa but I stay in Zimbabwe! Africa is an amazing place……I can’t wait to read about your experiences in Ghana!

Almost 15 years ago my husband began a Bible Training Centre in Ghana, it’s called Calvary Chapel Bible Training Centre. We have a website, but I haven’t updated it and our staff there doesn’t know how to—YET.

I hope on this trip to teach one or two of them how to use it. That is, when they have internet and electricity at the same time πŸ˜‰
We went to teach people Inductive Bible Study. Are you familiar with that? We knew a pastor named Dan Finfrock who had worked in the Philippines. Here’s his website:
If you are involved in teaching I highly recommend it πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

We are going to a Conference in South Africa at the end of September, so that will be a blessing and a whole new look at Africa.
God bless you brother. I’d love to hear about your ministry there in Zimbabwe!
          Blessings in Jesus

UMM, you must have lots of connections, because after YOU corrected the link I had lots of visitors from FB. Thanks for that ‘good link’ friend πŸ˜‰ Blessings. When I come back from Africa in October I hope to get a dog. When I do I’ll call you and we can have a play date for the pooches.
