Just how much grace do you need?
How much is sufficient for today, this week, this year, or for a lifetime?
Today while cleaning out drawers in a small chest in my office I found a box of staples.
A box I bought 29 years ago.
It’s more than half full; I discovered that when they spilled out.
And I remember giving away several strips to friends in need 😀
I didn’t think, back then, about buying a lifetime supply, but at this rate—these will outlast me.
God’s grace is like these staples.
We have more than we can ever use, ever need.
And it holds us together!!!
It keeps us in order.
Perched up in the corner of our lives, God’s grace supports us.
But are we using it wisely?
Or is grace like a vast fortune in a forgotten bank account, dormant and neglected, as we try to manage on our own instead of accessing the resource we’ve been given?
Grace could visit us with wisdom, with strength, with patience, and with love. It would change us, refresh us, and comfort us if we’d only put it to work.
He who has the most grace is most conscious of his need of more grace.
Charles Spurgeon
Grace Abounding in a Believer’s Life
What’s your need today?
You have His promise on that.
Psalm 84:11 The LORD will give grace and glory.
