It's one big job made up of a million little ones. You've got this!

It's the secret sauce for your Christian life.

, Prayer: The Best Preparation For Your Day

There’s an old gospel song entitled All Prayed Up.
That’s a great motto for a Christian.

One day when the disciples couldn’t cast out a demon, they asked Jesus why.
He told them that type could only be dealt with by prayer and fasting.

In other words, they weren’t ALL PRAYED UP.

We don’t know what we might encounter on any given day, but I know we’d be better prepared spiritually to handle it, and to help others, if we’ve spent some time in prayer.

The prophet Amos felt God wouldn’t do anything without telling His servant first. (Amos 3:7)
Are we listening though, that’s the question?
Prayer is pouring out our hearts and lifting up our needs, but it’s also listening.
Getting still and listening for the heart of God as He shares it with us.
It doesn’t take hours, but it does take commitment and a true desire to hear from God.

God wants to work in and through you every day. Prayer is His opportunity to prepare you for the unknown God moments coming your way.
Prayerlessness is carelessness. It closes the door to opportunities and reduces our effectiveness for Him.

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
Ephesians 6:18

How about you? Are you ALL PRAYED UP?

I think setting aside a time to be in the ‘prayer closet’ is important, but I like to use daily chores as a prompt for prayer. I pray for family when I unload the dishwasher, I pray for Africa while I make the bed, and I pray for the unsaved or the prodigals while I unload groceries. When I’m doing the no-brainer stuff my heart and mind can be ‘redeeming the time’!

  10. Kelly Grace says:

We are special to God! And yes, prayer is a key part of a close relationship with Him. That’s why our enemy would like to keep us distracted and discouraged. When we don’t talk with God we cut ourselves off from His wisdom and guidance, from peace and blessing.
Thanks for visiting and sharing πŸ˜‰
