Today is another opportunity for mindfulness.
For paying attention to what God has been speaking to me throughout March.
I started doing this because Emily Freeman graciously made a place for us to share on her blog.
I really enjoy it and even those of you that don’t blog might find it a worthwhile experience.
So here are the 7 things I’ve learned in March.
- That RESTLESS is the perfect prerequisite to a dynamic Christian life and experience.

2. A new exciting movement called IF: GATHERING is helping young women discover their unique calling.
Oh how I wish this had been conceived when I was in my 20’s.
The focus goes beyond the traditional ‘Women’s Issues’ enlarging the scope to Social Justice throughout the world. These women are vitalized by a sense of calling to serve and make a difference in the lives of the oppressed and impoverished wherever they are.
Visit the website and explore the Blog for video clips.
Under the Equip section you’ll find an online group Bible Study. It’s especially designed to help you see Biblical truth as it applies to your life and the world around you.
I included a clip of the inimitable Ann Voskamp and Amena Brown Owen with a duet reading of #TheEstherGeneration.

3. Why the moon looks so BIG in winter.
I knew there had to be science to help me understand the why.
While searching for an answer I discovered Minute Physics.
Perfect for captivating the minds of young children.

4. Canva is another cool tool.
Along with PicMonkey it’s great for making graphics from my own photos for a blog, Pinterest, tumblr, or Facebook.

5. That God is always up for an adventure if we’ll give Him our hearts and not ask too many questions.
Our recent trip to Africa opened my eyes to the missing boys in the village churches.
If a boy’s father isn’t a Christian then that boy has no enduring interest in church.
That AHA MOMENT has changed how we are praying and planning to minister in the villages.
Children love stories. And the Bible is full of stories with kids as central characters.
Heres’s my husband teaching a group of kids who were hanging around in the village near a church.
He gathered these kids for an impromptu Bible Lesson. Grabbing a couple of translators and benches he captivated children who had not heard the Bible taught directly to them, ever.
Look at their faces.

6. Satan wants us distracted or disabled.
He lies to us about ourselves, about how God feels about us, and about how little we can do in the world. He tells us we’re not qualified, not holy, not hearing from God. Our marriages are not good enough, our kids are not good enough, and we are not good enough.
He’s a liar.
What else do we need to know?
God has so much love for the world.
So much power waiting to flow through us.
So much good to work in us and through us.
Now to him who by his power within us is able to do far more than we ever dare to ask or imagine—to him be glory in the Church through Jesus Christ for ever and ever, Amen!
Ephesians 3:20-21
7. We don’t have forever to get it together spiritually.
Every day brings us closer to that great and final day. I hope you’ll take some time during this season to let God share His heart with you. Joy comes as we give our lives to Him and in the giving find that fountain of life that flows only from God.
